Plastic mold industry must do a good job of "high and fine"

At present, China's plastic consumption has ranked first in the world, but per capita consumption is only 1/7 of that of industrial developed countries, and 1/4 of industrialized developed countries. This aspect reflects our gap, on the other hand. It shows the huge development space of China's plastics industry and plastic mold industry.

At present, China's industries with strong demand for molds include aerospace, defense and military, rail locomotives, construction machinery and other industries, especially the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail project with a total investment of 220 billion yuan, and large aircraft projects with an investment scale of more than 30 billion yuan. It will bring new challenges and opportunities to the plastic mold industry. Therefore, the development of China's plastic mold industry must rely on the national key construction projects, vigorously develop precision injection molds, cover parts molds and large injection molds; at the same time, by speeding up mergers and acquisitions and product upgrading, narrowing the distance with developed countries, so that China The plastic mold industry continues to develop healthily.

In recent years, China's plastic mold industry has developed rapidly, which is reflected in the continuous improvement of product technology content and shortened manufacturing cycle. However, compared with the advanced level of foreign plastic molds, there is still a big gap.

Take mold materials and standard parts as an example. More than 80% of the production of foreign die steel is produced by vacuum refining and electroslag remelting. The purity and isotropic of steel are high, while the proportion of die steel produced by electroslag remelting in China is very small, about 1/10. The yield of die steel in developed countries is 85%~90%, while the domestic yield is only 70%. The plastic mold steels listed in the national standards are only 3Cr2Mo and 3Cr2MnNi鄄Mo. The plastic mold steel commonly used abroad has formed a relatively complete series. For example, the US plastic mold steel has 7 steel grades to form a complete P series; Japan Hitachi Metals has 15 steel grades. China's plastic mold steel is more random, 80% use carbon steel and 40Cr steel. For complex and precision molds, in order to avoid heat treatment deformation, it is generally used in annealed, normalized or tempered state, so the service life is only 1/10~1/2 of the foreign similar molds. Most domestic auto plastic mold enterprises are willing to use three series of mold steels from Germany, Japan and Sweden. However, the price of domestic mold steel is often 30%~40% higher, which seriously affects the competitiveness of domestic molds.

Internationally, automotive molds have entered the stage of specialization and standardization. Automobile molds are basically provided by professional mold manufacturers. The mold commercialization rate is over 70%. There are also many enterprises specializing in the production of mold standard parts. There are hundreds of kinds, such as Germany, Japan, the standardization rate of molds can reach 85%. The standardization degree of large molds in domestic mold enterprises is about 25% to 30%. The standardization degree of molds has become one of the bottlenecks restricting the domestic mold manufacturing cycle, and has also affected the competitiveness of domestic molds.

Look at the accuracy, life and mold manufacturing cycle of the mold. The precision of automobile molds in Japan can reach 0.02mm, the precision of plastic mold parting surface is controlled at 0.01mm, while the domestic automobile mold brand enterprise, the precision of automobile mold is controlled at 0.03~0.05mm; the precision of plastic mold parting surface is 0.03. Mm or so. The mold manufacturing cycle in Germany ranges from 2 weeks to 20 days, with 4 to 5 days of preparation and 2 to 3 days of test. Japan and South Korea's mold cycle requires 2 weeks, because they have a special mold accessories city, sliders, ejector pins, sprue sleeve components, etc. can be bought, domestic parts standardization can not be done, some parts of the processing accuracy Not required.

In terms of the overall quality of the employees, most employees of German and Japanese mold companies are graduated from universities or have been specially trained. At least 10 years of work experience, the proportion of technicians in mold enterprises is very high, and most enterprises are above 25%. At more than 50%, employees of many companies can often exchange technology and production positions. The staff of domestic mold companies lack training in high-tech processing technology and training in high-end CNC machine tool operation skills, which also affects the utilization of high-end equipment to some extent. The proportion of technicians in mold enterprises is low, and most enterprises are between 15% and 20%, and the comprehensive development capability is low.

In addition, German and Japanese companies attach great importance to the development of new products. The mold factory often develops together with material manufacturers and product manufacturers; the injection molding machine factory will jointly develop new models with material manufacturers; the famous brand plastic supplier will jointly develop with famous brand automobile companies. A new product for plastics. This strong cooperation enables the company to have strong research and development capabilities. Chinese enterprises have greater gaps in innovation and research and development capabilities.

"High and fine" is the focus of development

The current and future development of China's plastic mold industry should closely cooperate with the key projects of the nine major industries of steel, automobile, petrochemical, shipbuilding, light industry, textile, non-ferrous metals, electronic information, and national defense industry, and upgrade large-scale molds and precision injection molds. The manufacturing capacity of high-grade mold standard parts; the localization and high-quality of mold steel, the improvement of the supply system of mold materials, the provision of comprehensive materials of various specifications and grades, the compression of the material preparation cycle of mold manufacturers; , new plastic molding process and research and development capabilities of new high-strength, high-toughness, high-temperature resistant plastic products; improve the overall level of enterprise information management and mold integrated manufacturing.

——In the key functional items of the national major special projects, the mold specialization reflects the important position of the mold industry in the manufacturing industry. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the molding process and mold processing technology of high-strength, high-toughness and high-abrasion plastic products matched with large aircraft projects, high-speed railways and urban rail transit projects.

—— At present, the molds for automobile service account for about 1/3 of the total mold output in China. In countries with developed automobile industry, molds for automobile service often account for more than 40% of all mold production. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, car models are constantly updated, cars are moving to high speed, comfort and stylization, and the body structure will become increasingly complex, requiring molds to be developed in a large-scale, complicated, and high-precision direction. Car energy requirements for green and environmental protection are also getting higher and higher, the car's own weight is reduced by 10%, which can save fuel by 6% to 8%. Plastic-made steel is the only way to reduce the weight of cars. Therefore, it is necessary to vigorously develop energy-saving and consumption-reducing technologies and mold manufacturing technologies for plastic parts and steel.

—— Some experts have predicted that the plastic products matched with vehicles and ships will reach 1.5 million tons in 2010; 4 million tons of synthetic resin required for various plastic parts, insulating materials and packaging materials matched with household appliances; The demand for PVC, PE, PP, PS, PC, PUR and other plastics will reach 6 million tons. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate the research of wood-plastic composite injection molding technology, plastic metal composite injection molding technology and plastic profile high-speed extrusion die technology.

——With the rapid development of global networking and communication technologies, communication speeds have increased, miniaturization/lightweight of mobile phones and laptops, mating package technology, ultra-thin forming technology, light-forming plastic forming technology and mold precision requirements The higher. Therefore, it is necessary to study ultra-thin forming, ultra-precision forming processes and high-precision mold manufacturing techniques.
